Nia's story is a story of healing ... but it didn't start out that way.

Traumatized after being sexually assaulted by a coworker, Nia approached her supervisor for advice and support. She found neither. Instead, he persuaded her not to report the assault to the police. Months later, exhausted from the nightmares and panic attacks, Nia called our 24/7 Greater Charlotte Hope Line, connected with a counselor in our Sexual Trauma Resource Center, and started working with a court advocate to navigate the legal process.

Your generous gift funds vital programs like the Greater Charlotte Hope Line, a free, safe, confidential lifeline for Mecklenburg County survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as parents in need of support. You empower survivors like Nia, providing the resources, tools, and emotional support they need to begin rebuilding their self-confidence and ability to trust. Reclaiming their independence. Healing from the trauma they've experienced and moving forward with their lives. 

 Monetary donations to Safe Alliance are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors are acknowledged in our annual report.

Our present fundraising methodologies are confined to targeted mailings to those on our mailing lists and campaigns/events organized by Safe Alliance staff and volunteers.
