Recognizing Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month, a time to reflect on the invaluable contributions women have made throughout history and continue to make today. It's a time to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and strength of women who have shaped our world and inspired future generations. At Safe Alliance, we are proud to have a team of talented and dedicated women who embody these qualities every day.

As we celebrate Women's History Month, we'd like to introduce you to some of the women who mean the most to our staff.

"Federal Judge Sylvia Rambo made an impact on me when I clerked for her during law school. She is a trailblazer and very brilliant woman. She demonstrated a commitment to justice and fairness. I admired her purity of truth and focus; the law is above what you think it should be or want it to be. She wasn't swayed by politics or emotions." - Laura Lawrence, President & CEO

"My mom inspires me everyday to make an impact in this field and motivates me to continually care for other people and give myself grace while I do so. My mom gives me unlimited support and love everyday and is a constant reminder of why I do what I do! She is my closest friend and biggest cheerleader."- Hayley Hawkins, Advocate, Sexual Trauma Resource Center

"My mom is one of my favorite humans. She has instilled in me to be a strong, independent woman that can take care of myself and make it in life no matter what. I also watched her generosity, even when things at times were tight for us. She has quite literally given the shirt off her back to others. She's smart, she's funny, and she makes me laugh."
- Tori Marshall, Chief Advancement Officer

"My mom has been my number one supporter. She has always given me the confidence to do things I never thought I could, like getting into college and applying for this job! As a single mother she has had to make a lot of sacrifices for my sisters and I, but she has never complained. I swear she deserves a cape!" - Jocelyn Garcia, Navigator, Survivor Resource Center

At Safe Alliance, we are proud to have a team of dedicated women who are committed to creating a world free from violence. We are grateful for both the women who have inspired them to be passionate, tireless leaders making a difference in the lives of survivors and their communities.
